All Innovation no new ideas

I’ve been to the movies recently and watching all the trailers made me realize that there seems to be a lack of creativity nowadays.

Humans we are comfortable with the familiar but it’s quickly becoming all about re-hashing the past.

Star Wars… in 3D

Top Gun…. in 3D

Any movie you can think of can be made into 3D and re-packaged into a new feature movie.

Even while watching the new ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters’ movie, I was attracted by the fairy tale, and while I did enjoy the movie for the most part, it did feel like it was butchered by Hollywood. All visual appeal and lacking in story.

Where is the creativity nowadays that spawned the original Hansel and Gretel and such classics?
